I come across a fuse spur today taken off the ring main used for a outside light but the spur was fused at 13A shouldn’t it be 3-5A instead ? I changed it to a 5 because in my eyes it made sense

Probably the case just didn’t know if it was regs or anything surely it’d take a lot if not a straight short to take out the 13A ?Could it be because fused spurs are supplied fitted with a 13A fuse and some people CBA changing it for a lower value fuse to suit the load
