Just got my first payment from British Gas. Nearly ÂŁ300 from mid July to 1st of Nov (~1.3MWh). Wish every quarter was going to be that large but expecting a third of that from nov to feb :(

I have a solaredge system with 16 x 250W Suntech panels. Well pleased with how they are performing given the rubbish weather we are having this year. Can well recommend to anyone get a PV system from the regulars on this forum as even at the new tariff rates you will comfortably get what you invest back in the 20 years and still help the environment. I have apparently planted the equivalent of 1.8 trees with my CO2 emission savings lol.

Still waiting for Scottish Power to cough up - I submitted my reading on October 24th for my first 3 months. I have a 2.kWp system and by my reckoning its made me ÂŁ150.

Personally I think you'd all have a good chance at getting interest on late / long time coming payments. - I have one customer currently owed over ÂŁ10k in FiTs payments and he WILL be chasing them for interest, and knowing him, they WILL pay!

My FiT provider is Scottish Power and they only took a few weeks to turn around my application, and have made my FiT payments 14days (10 business days) after receipt of the readings.

3.75kWp system, facing ESE, 40degree pitch, Cambridgeshire.
Worst weather ever recorded - even more so, give the usually mild weather in East Anglia.
FiT rate is 45.4 + export rate of 0.5x3.2p, amounting to 47p per kWh.

Mid-Jan to mid-April: ÂŁ333.00
Mid-April to mid-July: ÂŁ531.10
Mid-July to mid-Oct: ÂŁ539.69

On this trend, I'd expect about ÂŁ165 for the current Oct-Jan quarter, for a total of ÂŁ1565 for the year.

System cost was ÂŁ9300 (Cambs installer prices are much higher than elsewhere, but the job was a good 'un and the system has been trouble-free <touch wood>).

Gross annualised return on investment: 17%
Net annualised return on investment: 13% (allowing 1/25th depreciation for repair/replacement).

If the panels weren't so far off South-facing, and/or if we hadn't had the worst weather on record, the return on investment would have been much higher.

Hi all
I had a Solar Edge system fitted from an installer that uses these forums late June, (2.5 kWp) and had my first payment on time after 3 months from BG. got a cheque in the post. Just looked at my generation meter and it says almost 1014 since install. All going well, installers highly recommended, not sure can publish names in open forum but would certainly reply to any PM's

As Solar City has moderator under user name, then feel happy to say who installed my system. It was S Power from Hertfordshire. Very professional service, they use an outsourced electrical company for the wiring to CU etc. I have been told I am a very difficult person to please when it comes down to how things are done ie. cable routing and aesthetics, items being straight and level etc. Could not find any reason to call anyone back to improve anything, and 5 months down the road, still just as pleased.

Well my "invoice" from Scottish Power turned up today ( the money is paid directly into the bank by transfer) and July 26th to Oct 24th it has generated 558kWh at 21p/kW.

SSW facing 2.5kWp system but sadly getting real shade issues now and the generation has dropped off rather significantly. Im probably only going to be making about ÂŁ600/year but I never got into this for the money.
