Just passed 2 more exams in my apprenticeship

Hi all,

As the subject title says I've just passed 2 more exams today for my electrotechnical advanced apprenticeship - the QELTK3002 & QELTK3003

That's now 5 done & next is the 004a exam

Finally the company is starting us on our NVQ next week due to them changing the way they do thing & how they assess us etc (its only been 16 months but hey who's counting lol)

Should be qualified in 12 months time I hope

EAL unfortunately


Was speaking to my NVQ assessor today he mentioned that when we're 70% done in NVQ they will think about putting us in for AM2 prep & the AM2 exam so this all finishes about the same time, thing is that I know from other apprentices that they have held people off the AM2 in the quieter periods to keep them on a lower wage. If they try that I'll be straight down to DCET to take the AM2 Exam lol

I think EAL will be just as recognised in a few years time anyway, most of the big firms like NG Bailey now use EAL. I take it this is your firms own training centre then?

Yeah Clarkson Evans provide their own training & then we have invigilators sit in the exams.
