Had the 301 this afternoon, and my print-out that you get straight after says....

Provisional Grade: Pass
H&S: 68.8%
Electrical principles: 54.2%

Not the best marks granted but Im glad Ive passed! Although I thought you had to get 60% in both? Are City & Guilds able to take the pass away and issue a fail?

Out of a class of 18 taking the exam today. 2 didnt turn up. 3 passed, 2 got credits, 1 got a distinction and 2 were still left in the room taking it so I dont know what they got.

Had alot of motors, wound motor x 2 questions, had impedance, primary, secondary, turns, voltage and current and XC / XL questions.

Mike.

As it states its a provisional grade so yes they could take it away however if your exam centre have said you have passed then you have passed, they do these things week in week out.

Anyway if you think you have passed I think I will say congratulations:)

Cheers Chris. Ive just checked against all of my post exam print outs for level 2 and they all say the same.

Provisional Grade: Credit.

When the certificates arrived they all had credit on them so Im hoping this is no different. I have just read that C&G dropped the bar from 60% to a 50% pass mark on the electrical principles but alas, no one to answer the phones at C&G to confirm this.....

If the exam is directly linked to C&G once you press continue and it automatically generates your grade surely they cant take it from you?
I would of thought it being an accurate system?

ive got my 2330 level 3 exam in a couple of weeks .
sorry for being a bit stupid here but could you clarify the % needed to pass is it 50% for each part or 60%
we have had a couple of mocks which i have found not to bad like you say a lot of motors , but with a huge pool of questions who knows what you get on the day.
thanks

60% and 50% respectively as far as im aware.
I was asked impedance, capacitance, inductance forulae and motors.
