Just passed!

Hi guys,

Having just passed the 2394 & 2395 Im looking at getting some testing done soon. couple of questions though:
1, What instrument do you guys recommend? I have been looking at the Megger MFT 1700 range!
2, Where can I get hold of blank certs? I heard you can get a disc on ebay and just print them out?

The choice of tester does depend on what you will need it for, industrial, domestic, etc as to what functions you are likely to use.
The forum sponsor Test Meter has a comparison system that can be helpful; they are all very similar in terms of the basics but vary widely in the specifics.
have a search on the forum for which is the best tester.
Generally unless you have a specific requirement it seems that downloadable results are not often used so this function may be redundant.

Blank forms should be available on ebay, remember that the layout changes in a few days time so try and ensure you have AMD3 forms.
The IET has not updated the forms on their website.
You can also buy physical forms from many sources, wholesalers, etc.

well done,if you have an ipad or phone icertify software is good,its about £50 a year subscription with all the certs you need,easy to fill in and email or print

Oh yes! I am quite new to testing but so glad I have this qualification on my belt.

It was hard mate, Im not used to testing so I found some of it all new to me.
Having said that: If I could give anyone a tip it would be "Study study study" put the hours in and it will pay off.

I will be doing alot of domestic and have a few letting/estate agents asking for my services!
I'll give Test Meter a go and see whats best for my needs.
