Hi guys
The other night popped round to my friends new house not brand new but new to him. Basically he wanted his oven wiring in but he didnt have it at the time as he had it stored in his dads garage and hadnt been to pick it up. Asked him how big it was nd he said the size of the gap on the cupboards hadnt a clue what rating it was. So on the wall above the gap for the cooker was a reasonably new mk cooker switch so took the front off and 6mm t+e fed off a 30a cartridge fuse in the old fuse box so disconnected it and tested and all ok so i thought whats the safest bet 6mm in 6 mm. So chased out the wall and run the cable down and left it at that for then as he had someone to do his tiling today. So went back tonight to connect it up and its 2.3 kw so my 6mm was somewhat un needed so i dropped the fuse in the box to a 15a. Would of liked to of put a single socket but didnt have either on me and he is hoping to have a full rewire im a few months. Anyone see a major problem with that??
