i have 16 black canadian solar panels 250wp system size 4kwt. i need advice if i should have a 4000 sma sunny boy tl which i thought i needed. but i have been told a 3600 is best due to dc and ac which will give 97% and the 4000 is too much. this dc and ac sounds so complicated that i am very confused. please could someone advice me. thanks karen,

3600 is better matched, as a 4kWp system will rarely actually generate 4kW, and the inverters operate more efficiently when fully loaded / less efficiently at lower power input levels.
