not long ago i had to do a fire damage club. i stunk when i came out every day and my tools where blathered. i use to pop the drivers in the sink with some fairy liquid and like said some sort of wd for the drills as they dont seem to take kindly to water :D

Petrol will do it, but dont leave it on too long or the plastic might start to melt. Just use it to wipe the crap off, then wipe them again with WD40.
If you can get your hands on some, then Ballistol is the dogs at removing anything, cleaning anything and lubricating anything, it knocks spots off WD40.

Cheers........Howard

Theres a factory we maintain and do all the electric work. They manufacture huge metal parts for engines and jet stuff. Everything is black and greasy. But they have this orange coloured soap with beads in it to wash hands with. It works wonders with tools. smells very nice as well.

I might ask them to order another bucket of soap for me too.:p
