Discuss KEW TECHNIK SWA Stripper in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

I use one regularly. No problems at all. It takes a while to get used to them. The art of success is:

Ensure you get it on the SWA straight.

Tighten a bit at a time and be patient

Make about ten full turns on each tightening, don't try and rush through the cable

If you do it this way, you get a very neat finish.

handy for tight spaces, but for me, it's hacksaw every time if access is OK.

Agree 100 % !! I have no problems with mine and it does give a very neat finish but it all depends on what is closer to me - hacksaw or blade runner.

In all honesty, I inherited mine. I wouldn't have bought one and I wouldn't replace it if I lost it.

but you can do 6 glands with hacksaw in the time it takes to do 1 with the gadget.
