Kiln Test

Hi. I have been asked to carry out a electrical kiln test for a number of schools.
Has anyone done one of these test or does anyone know how to complete a kiln test.
Any information would be much appreciated.

what sort of test is required, just electrical safety ?

Yes I think so. We are already doing fixed wire, emergency lighting and fire alarm testing now there asking for kiln test which i haven't come across before.

Like storage heaters don’t be at all surprised by low IR readings if the kilns have been shut down for any length of time. Damp gets drawn in to the refractory lining.
