Hi All
I’m looking into a job for a client where they have completely gutted their kitchen. Old cable hanging from ceiling you know how it is.
Here’s my question. Client wants to install 2 electric ovens (3.76kw) apiece and an electric induction hob at 4kw...total of 11.52kw !!. (he does a lot of entertaining apparently and loves cooking). Existing cooker cable is 6mm. Ive advised installing another cooker circuit (6mm)and splitting them, so 2 ovens on one circuit, hob on the other. Apparently another electrician has suggested running the 2 ovens of the 2.5mm kitchen ring circuit.
Have I missed something..is this acceptable, seems iffy to me !

All cable will be method b when finished by the way

thanks telectrix, i been going through all the calcs and tables in the regs...thought i was loosing the plot and been doing it wrong all this time
