good morning folks, could anyone help me out with a couple of questions ref a kitchen fit. a double oven is to be fitted, so i'm assuming that should be on a new circuit and 6mm instead of 2.5mm. it doesn't have any plugs but a black box for connections?? secondly plugs in under sink units, we'd like to plug the new wash machine and dishwasher, both intergrated, into a plug socket fitted inside the sink cupboard, is that possible. we have a new fuseboard with trip circuits and beacuse of space are trying to avoid having to bring the plugs up through the worktop. thanks

You will get many different answers, however, what you suggesting with your sockets in cupboards is fine, providing they are kept away from the pipework and are easily accessible.

As for the cooker, it all depends on the rating as to what size of cable will be needed.

Generally, 6mm is fine but not always.

Dont forget this work will need to notified under Part P to your LABC.
