Have been looking at different Punch down/krone tools online, however the prices seem to vary from ÂŁ1 onwards to ÂŁ20ish. was wondering if anyone uses this type of tool alot and could point me in the right direction for a good quality one.

thanks james :)

Insertion Tools

The TrueNet® Tool guarantees strong, reliable and consistent wire terminations in ADC KRONE Contacts (IDCs).

The new tool has been designed specifically to work with the smaller form factor IDC contacts that are used in the new Category 6 and 6A jacks.

This tool is backwards compatible with all ADC KRONE LSA PLUS® IDCs including jacks and will replace the existing tool for all data communication products. A core feature of the tool is the scissor action that cuts the wire, ensuring a clean and tidy termination of the wires. The tool also comes complete with two additional features, a wire removal hook and a flat blade screwdriver. As density increases in the Data Centre RJ45 technologies get smaller, as an aid to these smaller RJ45's connectors ADC KRONE has developed the Punch down Pad to help the termination process. The Punch down Pad supports both new in-line and right angle small form factor Category 6 and 6A jacks.

The tool and pad can be purchased separately or as part of a pack.
