areet guys as they say in manchesta, ive got somon willing to buy me laser level today, so while striking while the iron is hot, do any of yous know of any good deals on the dewalt, cheapest i can see is £152 inc vat.... anything

Thats probably the cheapest you'll get. I bought mine 3 years ago for that, so allowing for inflation, that's pretty good. And the dewalt ones are wicked.

is there much that could go wrong with these devices, as there is quite a few on ebay????

i wouldn't trust one from ebay. who knows how they have been treated. mine has earned it's money several times over. I buy from a shop now, everytime, so there is somewhere to take it back to when it goes wrong.

well, mine came from a car boot, £20. a sparks that was retiring. it's a momentum ( american ), and it's awesome.
