Discuss Laser level in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

It all depends on how accurate you need your level to be, I have seen some dewalt ones for about ÂŁ120 inc VAT that are accurate to 2mm in 10m with upto 30m range depending on enviroment.

Personally I have a second hand Stabila LAP-R150

Does depend on what you want to use it for, if you are just wanting a line for sockets or switches then this is good, if you need to be very precise (not sure where) then it might not be so good.

The fact that it come with the pole as well makes it a good deal at that price.
It is basic but it does the job, I bought a much higher spec one that I do not really need.

I will be using it for conduit drops, dado trunking, basket and tray work. Do you reckons its upto the job? The pole makes it more desirable too.

For basket and tray work if you are working in a brightly light factory over long distances then you may find that the line is not visible and certainly outside in sunlight it will be difficult to see. You can get red glasses that highlight the line for you if this is a problem. But 4mm variation in positioning is unlikely to cause problems, just make sure no one moves it while you are working!
I notice FFx have them for ÂŁ92!

However since I do not have one I cannot be certain, buy it try it send it back if it is not up to the job.
