Just a quick report about last nights 2395 multchoice exam
It seemed more like a regs exam without the book. Lots of questions about RCD testing, times etc.
I have never flagged so many questions on an onlime exam before.
Harder than I expected.
I did OK got 90% overall.
Another lad got 62% and failed

Will post more info after next weeks lesson when everybody discusses their reaction. my mind is completely blank, convinced I was going to fail and would have to revise for a resit.

Well done! Is the online exam the same if you are doing the 2394 or 2395? I ask, as I understood that if you have sat and passed the online for one you don't have to sit again to pass the second (i.e. if you sit and pass the online when doing the 2394, you dont have to do the online again when sitting the 2395)

Regards.

The online test counts for both qualifications. If you do it as part of 2394, you dont need to do it again if you do 2395, and vice versa.

Noted thanks, but - if you had candidates sitting 2394 and others 2395, both doing the online at the same time, is it the same online questions for both????

cant be equivalent to the 2391 as the 2391 is the proper testing exam in my opinion and its or wasnt multi choice well done for passing 2395 but for me just a money making scam and theve also down graded this once highly thought of 2391 testing qualification rant over lol

Some might say its better.

2394/5 still has closed book written exam as well as other modules including the online section. Each section needs a pass.

Now 2394 is initial verification and 2395 is condition report/periodic making the 2395 more pure.

With 2391 the average marks could be raised with initial verification knowledge. Now you need to know all about condition reports/periodic.

Personally I don't think the 2391 has been downgraded it has just been split into 2 to make it easier to digest, the questions are still the same the answers are still the same there is a written, practical & multi choice exam as stated each module needs a pass to complete, although I think it's a money spinner from the city&guilds they in essence are trying to get people on the right track by actually teaching at an easier pace rather than cram every part of inspection testing and verification into a short course and rightly so with the highest pass mark ever archived for the 2391 is around 52%, mainly due to having to much to learn in a short period of time .
