UK lathe and plaster holesaw question

Where can I get a holesaw for lathe and plaster jobs

What I've always tried to do with (presumably you mean a ceiling?) is grab a couple of bits of old board or plasterboard and screw them together above and below to sandwich the lathe where you need to make the hole, then any old holesaw will go through it and you get as clean a hole as you ever will.

I have 12 to cut so I may rig a template/jig set up, cheers mate

I would not cut holes in a lath and plaster ceiling as you are destroying the structural integrity of the ceiling

Have cut hundreds of DLs in lathe and plaster ceilings over the years

A jig can be useful , but normally I find if you are very careful with a nice new holesaw 9 times out of 10 I can cut a clean hole with minimul chipping around the edges

Always use new holesaws and take more than one, the plaster will dull them guiclly as it often contains small stones/pebbles, personally I always use a jig as well, although it’s not hard to go in at an angle it ain’t worth the risk
