Lay - Z - Spa installation help reqd.

Hi Guys, Customer has brought a Lay-Z- Spa pool (basically an inflatable hot -tub) which comes with pre-wired plug top and flex for the pump/heater controls etc. The pool will be positioned outside, rear of detached garage. I proposed wiring an outside weather proof skt which will be RCD protected by RCD split board in house.Are there any specific regs for these products? There is an existing outside metal wall light above the proposed position of the spa and I've told the customer that it will have to be removed as in my opinion too close for comfort. (he is not happy)
I can't cut the plug top off, as guarantee will be void. The new RCD weather proof protected skt will also be near the Spa pool. Any thoughts on this please? Any one similar situations? Thanks in advance for any comments.

fit the outside IP rated socket, RCD protected. complete a MWC for the modified circuit. job done. it's the customer's responsibility for plugging i n the spa.
