Lead Generators

We haven't gone donw this route yet but thought everyone might be interested in the conversation I've just had with a customer. We met her yesterday at an event and she's rung and requested a survey. Just after she rang us she registered for a free quote and has been rung by 6 different companies in the last hour.


Now correct me if I'm wrong, but when you take leads from a generator I thought the agreement was that they only went to 3 companies including your own. Looks like someone is doubling up their quota!!

Sounds a bit suss. Maybe she registered with more than one lead generator? Maybe one of the companies that phoned her operate under more than one name to enhance their chances of success? You sometimes see this on the MCS register, eg. "Fred Bloggs Ltd t/a Happy Sunny Green Ecofriendly Rip-off Merchants".

Seems best if you go to these quotes last and get some info off the customers, they love to spill the beans on what others have offered.

We prefer to turn up last also. Some of the crap that others have spouted out is easily countered at this stage.

We spoke to one yesterday, we are on autoaccept and have had nothing through for months. It apprears everyone is on autoaccept for our area including the Nationals so we don't get any of leads not having used tham for much of last year.

We were told to improve our feedback by accepting more leads!!! Helpful, thanks...

We stopped getting leads from them ages ago. We get the odd one sent through here and there - the ones that no one else wants. Because we don't accept these useless ones, we don't get sent any others.

Not an entirely brilliant system if you ask me.

I've found solar guide leads pretty good but don't have the auto accept on. I've used service magic for a few years but they are mostly crap sold to 5 companies etc
