Anyone have any recent experience on how long it takes from first phone call to actual installation for new phone connections to new build complex's in central London? Trying to give a ballpark to a client.

why are you doing the donkey work trying to find out .
Because frankly with this developer, if I don't do it then it won't happen. And I can't finish half of my systems off without knowing what's happening with Telco

TBH, its very difficult to tell because of how much capacity you want and how much is readily available. If you plan for extra local capacity required, 90 days is always a good estimate until BT confirm a delivery date, even when they do, they can sometimes find there is no capacity just when its needed and the dates slip.

All depends on local capacity and availability of free lines.
Also BT have started to roll out their fibre to the premises network.
Best option is to speak to BT.
You could still run lines to a centralised point but I would also consider fibre options to each residence.

Best to give BT a call, if there are any line plant issues then the lead time could be weeks/months.

Give them some idea of how many lines is required etc, they will then check line plant records to see if they have capacity, if not it should go to their planning team to uplift line plant.
