Hi there,
I have just priced up to install a load of commercial style round LED downlights (18w) in a clubhouse. I have allowed for non-dimmable and a couple of emergency fittings. After saying at the quotation stage that they didn't want dimmable they now want to know the how much it would cost to have dimmable!
The type I have selected don't do a dimmable version. I have seen other brands but they are far more expensive. Does anyone know of a cost effective fitting that is LED, dimmable and can be used as an emergency light too?

Many thanks,
Dave.

With all due respect there are too many factors to advise you properly.
Ceiling height, size of area, ceiling construction, environment, colour rendering, switching arrangements, and lots of other decisions would be in my mind when designing a job.

Brands I would research would be ansell, ksr, jcc, and scolmore though.

What brand did you allow for?
In my opinion photonstar make the best LED kit for normal installations.
For good dimming performance you're better off with a 0-10v/dali etc setup than traditional act dimmers.

Get some prices on 'Integral LED' 15/25w downlights. I've used the non dim version which I've found good and reasonably priced and I've had a lot of success dimming their other products.

I'd also look into Photonstar as Dave suggested. They do some great products and I actually fitted a load of their Nemesis dimmable downlights last year (0-10v) and they were fantastic. Downside - Price!
