LED Downlights or GU10 Downlights with LED lamps

Can anyone give me a good argument on either side? More and more sealed units are emerging on the market, but they still carry a premium price £30+ per unit over a conventional GU10 Fitting and a Decent (7w Philips Master) Lamp.

I can't seem to see any benefit of the sealed unit apart from they possibly look slightly nicer as you don't need a removable bezel to fit the lamp.

But on the other hand the conventional fitting at least offers you the chance to change the lamp if does go, or to to change the lamp if you fancy a change in colour temp....

Yes I can give you the perfect argument on downlighters .............

Nor are downlighters and with halogens more dangerous .....................just hate the bloody things Farm

good question to ask

preference, the sealed units seem to have a high warranty which is a plus i.e 5, 7 or even 10 year.

sealed units look better in bathroom. price is negligable by the time you buy a fire rated cage and led lamp

They are very efficient
until you fit you 200w heat lamp.
