This one v strange.. Couldn't verify it because an ex client rang me up. I had changed his fusebox for the usual dual RCD setup, no problems on installation or testing, about 10 months ago, he was fitting some lights himself but he says he was fitting led lamps into downlighters in hallway, about 8 or 10 I think, anyway he says with the light switch OFF with only a few lamps fitted they were glowing slightly! The more lamps he took out, the brighter the glow until with only one in, it was shining quite brightly! The more !amps he put in, the dimmer the glow until there was none at all with them all fitted.
The lights switched on and "off" as usual.
The only thing I remember him saying at the time of my visit was that he got lamps off eBay and didn't look particularly well made, certainly not branded.
Is this due to induced voltage do you think? That's what I suggested anyway ;-)
Or dodgy lamps? Still shouldn't be energised tho with Sw off..
Or could it be faulty switch?
