got 48 8ft fluorescent fittings to replace and im looking to make an environmental impact on teh building by using LED lights..!

does any body know who makes 6ft strip lights (full unit) for direct replacement.!!

been abusing Google all morning!

Dont know for sure but Osram are usually good, may need a specialised LED manufacturer though

Philips do a four foot fitting with single or double LED tube. Kosnic do a 5ft tube. Other than the Philips I have not seen fittings with LED tubes. Good luck.

I would not expect manufacturers to make an LED fitting since you can just replace the lamp with an LED one.
The LED fittings coming out are more suited to the use of LEDs and tend to be large surface area.

Buy a cheap standard fitting and fit new LED lamps or just buy 8ft/6ft replacement tubes, there's even some that do not need the control gear removing.
