LED Tape fault help

Hi Can anyone enlighten me of what has caused this (see attachment ) ? I'm Thinking water but hoping its not so I can take the tape back

One series string of LEDs is dead. There is a break either in one of the copper tracks, or a solder joint, or perhaps one of the current limiting resistors is cracked. Water ingress / impact damage / too much flexing during installation would be likely causes, or it could just be a random failure.

its been installed for about 2 months , prob jet washing it. Thanks for reply

This is break on copper I had the same problem when I stepped on a strip by mistake. You can replace this section only if you have the tools

Depends on your warrantty conditions !
But I would take it back
It is definitely faulty
