Anyone got a D8 for site surveys? i want to know how you measure around dormers with it and also measureing the length of the ridge (no witty comments please ive being using a tape measure long enough;-)

Hi,

We just brought the leica D8 for greater accuracy for surveys. On the back of the previous post did you find away around measuring distances between horizontal objects (Dormers and windows).

Yeah, but can't explain, dont know the name of the function, I just know which key to press. Would not be without now, but sometimes I look like geek when the tripod comes out lol.

Which key is it ?could you give me any more details?. Regarding looking a geek, at least you know for certain that you can fit the number of panels you have sold !!
