Level 2 electrician doing level 3 here to say hi and ask for work experience in Herts

Hi, just finished my Level 2 city and guilds at college and going onto level 3 now. I'm 22, note the username, and doing all this at my own expense and hope it's not wasted.
Looking for work experience since most my experience is in a 3m x 3m work bay at college and under no illusion that a real job would be so much different.
I can work with PVC Twin and earth, singles, SWA, FP200, MI. I have a little bit of understanding of test and inspection but only limited testing on my own work, also testing live fluorescent light fitting and 3-phase system.
Enough of turning this into a CV. Other than training to be a electrician I'm learning to drive, another slow process with little funds coming in.

If anyone needs any help in Hertfordshire I'm always looking for any work experience you can offer.

little word of advise, pop your request over to the electricians unite area. I'm not saying it'll get you anywhere, but it's a lot more likely than here.

Thanks for the welcome, that section of the forum just makes me depressed, times really do look hard. I'll have to dive deep into that place head first as soon as I find out what is going on with my L3 course, college is playing silly buggers with it all. Not sure if it will be an evening course or a day one, but like many I see on the forum people have, I've put a lot into this and don't give up that easily.
