Hi, Iv been working as a sparks for about 7 years now all over the country doing all types of work. The problem is I only have my level 2 quals as at the start of the 3rd year I was out of work and the college wouldn't accept payment for the course in instalments, so I had to drop out which I was gutted about as I'd done really well in the 1st/2nd year with distinctions etc. Is there a way I can just take the last year or even just the exams I need to get the level 3 ?

Thanks

The third year is your level 3 aint it? just do it, then all you need is your 2391, 2382 (17th regs), NVQ 3 and your AM2(dependent on what level you want to get to or get the title for your jib card).

The level 3 is a lot harder than the level 2, but as the pass mark is so low, you do not need to know much to pass it!

You could probably pass it easily, but understanding it, it could not hurt to get a bit of help.
Then again a lot of sparkies I have worked with don't understand it anyway.
We use new test forms at work that have a max permitted Zs on them, he asked what it meant.

Turns out this guy had been doing the Zs test for years without knowing what it was, or what it was demonstrating. Just did the test and put the number in the box without knowing what it meant, or more importantly what it was supposed to be lower than.

Not sure what my point was, think I am just angry this guy makes more than me, and I had to spend last night rewiring a circuit he had supposedly finished (but left bare wire of jagged metal ripping the wires up).

My point is probably, it does not matter what method you take to learn something, as long as you learn it well.

level 3 text book help.
