Hi guys, this is the 4th year im at college this year due to lecturers leaving, also having 4 different on-site assessors in my time. im currently trying to sort my logbook out as i origionally got told that each unit was seperate and i needed to gain evidence on 2 occasions to sign off each unit, so i have about 17 job packs trying to cover a lot of the requirements but now am being told by my new assessor that one job pack could be used to cover numerous amounts of units in the logbook. so im kinda stuck on what to do and just wandering if anyone else has completed this logbook and give me a bit of guidence on what you have done would really appritate it!

many thanks
connor :)

have you applied for access to the trainee forum? guys in there will be more up to date with this new-fangled stuff than a lot of us old farts.:ack2:

I assess the EAL NVQ's which are similar to the C&G and also lead to the same qualification.

I am not going to say who is right and who is wrong because C&G may have different standards to EAL. EAL has to have 3 different assessment references.

Anyway, you want a definitive answer, so the best advice i can give you, is contact the College that you are doing the course with, and ask to speak to the Internal Verifier (IV) who is responsible for the 2357, he/she makes sure that the Assessors are doing there jobs properly, and can tell you exactly what you need to know, and what you need to be doing. It is the IV who will claim your certificate when the Assessor has finished with you. The IV has to get it right, because they deal with the External Verifier (EV) and they work for City and Guilds.

Cheers...........Howard

Cheers guys yeah spoke to my internal verifier yesterday and they have a meeting this morning to sort out whats going on and hopefully making a focus group to get the portfolio done should complete my course by june 2015 :)

Not at all relevant to your post but why does 'focus group' as a term in general make me think of people in corduroy trousers sitting around a table drinking tea?
