hey all.

just passed all my level 3 2330 exam with distinctions and credits. happy days.

need to find work now so i can go on and complete my NVQ3, so if theres anyone out there who needs an apprentice full time or part time in the west midlands area please get in contact.

Its pretty tough out there local electrical firms i speak to just got about enough work to cover themselves people now get 3 or 4 quotes and getting the cheapest not going on recomendation or what work standard give it 12 months hopefully it should pick up

Congrats, I'm in the exact same boat as you (had my 303 on Thursday). Have you considered further courses? HNC, or the Diploma in Engineering? My course tutor gave me a leaflet for the latter, it appears to be aimed at those wanting to enter design/maintenance engineering, might be worth a look if that's the sort of thing you're interested in?

9 of the 12 units are common to both electrical and mechanical. It's one day & one evening a week for 2 years.

if i was still living at home i probably would have done, but as ive got my own place now with the misses in need to be putting the hours in. something i might do later in the future. Plus im more of a hands on worker than stuck in books.

Is that something your looking at doing

well done mate and good luck with the job finding. if you could find a spark that would let you help out now and again you should be able to sign up for your nvq. before it changes to the 2357

well thats what im hoping for. what changes will the 2357 bring in?

Pretty much a combined 2330 & NVQ. I'm not sure if they'd be willing to split the course for those who have 2330 so that people can gain the NVQ equivalent? Anyone with a bit more information on that?
