I studied the 236 the eventually went on to teach 2360, 2351, 2356, 2330 and unfortunately the exam criteria are shadows of the original. That can only mean that we are supposed to except smoke and mirrors
However, the redeeming factor of the 2357 is the NVQ requirement. The 236 had a log book/work placement element, which mean't you couldn't do the theory without the apprenticeship. (it used to be indentured !)
I must admit that I sneaked in at the end of the 236 when the CITB was disintegrating and the JIB was well and truly up itself.
I never did the apprenticeship because I was regarded as something better ( A levels). but you never know how life takes you and I've now been in the electrical industry for the last 27 years.
