Hi
I've tried to connect up a new light fitting today and am a little confused.
From the ceiling we have 9 wires: 3 earth, 2 brown with white tape and 4 plain brown.
Am I right in thinking the brown with the white tape is the neutral (rather than blue)? And then how do I know which brown wire(s) are the switched and which are the loop?
As far as I understand the switched (just 1 brown wire?) should go into the live connection in the fitting, the neutral (brown with white) wires into the blue in the fitting and the loop wires just connected together and not linked to the fitting at all?
Any help would be great.
Cheers
Greg
