Hi all

I have a light in my living room which are standard GU10 bulbs with dimmer switch, in the last month I noticed that when you turn the dimmer up, the lights start to flicker. Then to get it to be stable, you have to turn it down to a certain point until the flickering stops.

The thing is that 3 months ago, I changed the dimmer switch as the old one from wickes was faulty and I just went there to swap it out. Now, I dont know if its dimmer or bulbs or something else that is faulty this time.

Any ideas ?

If the every lamp is acting in the same way then it's almost certainly the dimmer switch. If I were you I'd cut my losses, ditch the Wickes one and get a decent brand from a wholesaler. You also need to make sure that you get the right rating - 250/400/1000W.
