Being lazy!

Got a client having a new front wall built and they want lights on top of the gate posts. Being "green" they don't want to have them on all night nor do they want to have to switch them on or off all the time.

Have thought about using the timeguard ZV700 as it would do the job, however the switch would be facing into the room rather towards the window so I'm concerned it may come on early.

Are there any other products that would be worth a look at?

Those timeguard switches like the ZV210 have a sensitivity adjuster built into them with instant over-ride, i would have thought they were ideal :)

I fitted a Steinel Nightmatic 3000 switch to an an outside light on my own house a few years ago. Available from TLC, part no ST NM3000 B or W.
It's a very clever bit of kit. Can be used as a basic photo switch or can be set to go on at dusk and off at around midnight plus or minus a couple of hours to suit. Can also be set to turn on for a short time on dark mornings.
It works out the time based on recording sunrise and sunset over a period of a few days, so no need to manually set the time of day or re-set after power failure.
It needs to be fitted on an outside wall.
