Light for understairs

I have a consumer unit change next week, as usual the consumer unit is tucked under the stairs. Can anyone recommend a good light which won't get in the way but also gives enough light but not too much it's blinding? Also what lights do other electricians use?

kow energy rechargeable work light . mine lasts for 3 hours on a charge.

ryobi lantern flouri torch. mine used to last about 8 hours on a full charge. good light and not too blinding

I've got an 18V DeWalt flexible torch which lasts ages on a standard charge but even if it goes flat i've got that many batteries that there's always one with enough charge in it to finish the job. The flexible head means it can be pointed anywhere you need it and can be wrapped round anything near by to get a perfect angle on what you're doing. Very bright though but i prefer having lots of light rather then working in a dark hole! :D

The head torch is the most underrated tool in the box. It's helped me in an emergency many times.
