I have bought a cooker with a ceramic hob which has a warning light to show that the top is hot, the light goes out when the hob cools down. I have noticed that if the cooker is switched on at the wall but well cooled down, in a dark room this light is still faintly illuminated but goes out when the wall switch is turned off. This must show that current is flowing at all times and I suspect this indicates a fault. Am I correct?
