The lovely MAKITA SCRAPER has gone ...second one gone on me and same problem as its stops vibrating...i only ever get light domestic duties but of course this can mean some hard old style bricks.
What in general do you guys either recommend i look at to buy or what do you use. i do not really like the chaser type tools as i find them to bulky and never get to the top of the wall , so would appriciate what you have found best for occasional use even if its a sds drill type ...thanks

Is a makita scraper just a chasing machine? Never heard of it.
if it is then most sds drills have chisel action.
Personally I scissor drill the box outline then good old chasing with my machine.

Drill the box outline and use hitachi 6kg breaker , so powerful if just odd chase i just use sds.

I have 2 flats comming up and might get someone todo chasing as people are offering to just do this.. I think 1.50 per meter.

unoccupied 125mm makita grinder with nice diamond blade. 1.6 kilo lightweight :)
for around the boxes and precise stuff.
erbauer chaser for long rough cuts.
bosch sds to chisel the stuff out.

hammer + bolster or sometimes sds for occupied.
