Evening all,

This is my first post and im just after abit of advice. I have installed low level brick lights, and was wondering what the best method was as to wiring them.

There are 5 of them and the are knee high. I am going to go from the consumer unit to wago connectors in an enclosure. Instead of taking the cable to the first light and then out to the second and so on. Can i run the cable from the above mentioned connectors to another set of connectors, and then from these to the first light and on to another set of connectors which would then go to second light and the same for the rest of the lights.

Thanks

It's probably better to cable in and out of each light fitting if you can. It's less joints that way plus you won't need separate IP66 joint boxes.

To wire lighting circuits, string your electrical cable from the circuit box and cut the cable by the switch box. Set the cable bracket into the bottom hole of the switch box and tighten it in place. Next, set a second cable bracket and clamp the end of the cable through the electrical box leaving six inches of wires hanging out of it. Install your lights by stripping half an inch of insulation and wire up the new light fixture by connecting the like colored wires. Finally, put a light bulb in the fixture and test it via the wall switch.

Obviously this would only be applicable for DIYers who don't have the knowledge and equipment to undertake the sensible and necessary dead tests.

Here also we are talking about a simple lightening connection not about wiring a entire home. He might have less knowledge about connection. He just want to know about how to connect lightening circuit. It is not compulsory that he will have all the equipments with him. :nono:

He's a DIYer - as the forum is for professionals, so next time you don't have any work, don't complain on here.
