Lighting for hairdressers...

Hi Chaps,

Off to look at job tomorrow, new hairdressers....

Part of estimate is to sort out lighting.

Any thoughts on different options could give the customer, think it is a solid ceiling, so will be surface. Customer mentioned track lighting but personally don't think this will give off the best workable light alone. Maybe something along the lines of some CAT2 fluorescents...?

Ideally I would get the wholesalers to do me a proper lighting design, but this isn't possible at such short notice.

Many Thanks,

Sy

Couple of cat 2 fluorescents for general illumination, 2' fluorescents with diffusers above the mirrors, then some kind of feature or accent lighting, such as a wall light, ropelight, table lamp etc.

Being pedantic, if they want to portray their work in its true colours, then 6400K lighting is required and some nonsense about the colour rendering index. Failing that Cat2 flourescents

Is that daylight colour maybe.....?

Oh and I forgot to mention, she is on a tight budget ! Don't you just love them ones, thats always a good start. Couple of 2D fittings should do then....
