HI All,

Just wiring an under stairs cupboard, containing a washing machine.

Am wiring it all in conduit as thats what the owners asked for,

Theres no light in there so I was wondering if I just run T&E from the CU, and wire 2 sockets, and a single GU10 fitting, but run it all in 2.5mm if that would be okay?

Thanks.

I think it has been previously confirmed that if you installed a 16A max circuit breaker then it would comply with the regs, although the usual method would be via a switched fused connection unit with 3A fuse fitted

just extend your circuit and put a fused spur at the light switch point 3 amp fuse then to the light in 1.5mm killed 2 birds with one stone then you could use a 20 amp mcb/rcbo

I did consider this but ended up going with this one. I wired it inline with the lives and works great.
