Lighting question

Im slightly confussed with lighting sometimes, but i was looking to add another light fitting in my garage, i already have two in there that are run off the same switch, if i was to add another fitting, then will it just be a 1.5 T/E from the last fitting to the new fitting, or will i require another cable to the switch, as i want them to all run on the same switch???

As most decent 1 gang rocker switches are rated 10amp+ I pretty sure unless you have unusually high rated fittings that the 3rd fitting will have no effect on the switch.

Yes, you should be able to extend the circuit, from one of the fittings.
You will have to identify the switched line at the fitting you are extending from, then extend this along with the neutral and the earth to the new fitting.

one fitting is at one end and other fitting is at other end, i want the new fitting in the middle, will it matter which light i extend it from?

I would imagine, that there is a cable between the two fittings.
Either break into this cable to feed into and out of the new fitting, or fit a JB with a spur to the new fitting.

It would not matter from which light you extend but would use more cable than spins suggestion above. make sure you have correctly chosen the switched line instead of the permanent line if the power is fed to the lights.
