Hello Fellow Sparks
I am a QS or a large London based electrical maintenance/install firm and our clients are frequently asking us to take on their lightning protection in regards to installation and maintenance.
I want come up with a plan of action to ready us for such an on take and with that I know nothing about the latter so looking for pointers on training avenues (tickets required) and good sources of research for this alien branch of our lucrative industry.
In short I have been tasked with setting up things.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Before you waste any money on your Companies behalf, get some of the clients to check with their Insurers if a Company with no history of Lightning protection work is acceptable.

Then check with your Company's insurers and see what they need from you before they will cover you.

The reason they want you to do it is they think you'll be cheaper than the specialists.

money and insurance is no issue Acorn Is a huge company with large recourses, 500 sites we have and successfully removed subs in most aspects of building maintenance and construction, lightning protection will become a sub branch of the existing electrical division.
