Like for like replacements

guys,

if you do like for like but when reading the instructions it says "this item must be installed.....x....y...z "

but you cannot comply with these requests, what options do you have?

Not replace?
Or just do it and not worry?

examples would be distances from sinks or fitting an isolator to a fan that has not already got 1 etc etc

you would judge each case on it's merits. would you be leaving the installation safer or less safe than it is at present?

no more, no less in safety. Just literally swapping one product for another.
