Hi was wondering what literature/books/regs ect i need as a minimum as im getting ready to go fully self employed ( been just subbing to small companies until now), want to get everything in place before i start to advertise for work of my own.

Well, if you haven`t already, get the Big Red `un as a pre-requisite

Same with On-site guide, Electricians Guide to Building Regs is useful if your doing domestic (& if you are you could do worse than download App Doc Part P from ODPM etc)

I believe as self-employed sparks we`re `obliged` to have a copy of EAWR on our persons at all times including in the bog, altho i accept i may have that slightly wrong. If looking for it get `Memorandum of guidance on the Electricity at work Regs" (2007 i think)

There`s a few to start with, but will be others depending on what you`re advertising as doing - industrial/commercial/domestic/all...
