Ok… not quite “… to be jolly” but it’s that time of year that many wholesalers run an annual Trade Day. Usually some games, a raffle and some discounts…. And maybe free breakfast.

CEF last week. (Hotdogs, if you’re wondering) Didn’t get much except for a new set of WERA drivers.
I tend to replace mine on a yearly basis… through loss or damage… but this set covers enough bases.

Comes with not only a VDE bottle opener, but a drinks tray and a set of coasters… That’s even more encouragement to drink on the job.

Ok… I’ll be a tool rebel. Whatever you say.

Usual sizes plus a few torq heads.

It’s Howdens this week, and already got my eye on a dewalt multi tool. 18V bare bones for £50.
Going to check today if it comes with a box.

Last year I got the yellow handled WERA thinking, they’ll be easy to spot in a dark attic…. But the guy this year said the yellow ones were an “entry level” screwdriver…(not the slim fit style)… so back to red.

Same

I got a 12v Milwaukee one a few years ago as a new account gift from Howdens… and it gets used quite frequently.

The dewalt 18v will have a bit more oomph, but maybe too big for some fiddly jobs.

I popped in today to see if it came with a box, but it doesn’t…. So I’ll be on the lookout for a spare t-stak box

I think for 50 golden nuggets I'd get it either way. I'm getting used to using a couple of different sized tool bags and attempting to put just the tools in I need for something (usually to do with cars these days so spanners more than tiling gear like I used to have) but I still can't help pickup the huge dewalt stackable boxes that the stuff is in in the first place.

I believed Wera did a glow in the dark set, but turns out the blue isn't what I thought.

CK offer this set and I'll link to Amazon to keep Dan happy 😁
