Hi all,

I'm a translator, translating a Portuguese text into English that includes a list of electrical faults. One of those is described as a fault that occurs when you connect two positive poles in a circuit. What is that called in English? The literal translation of the Portuguese term is "live short circuit", but I have never that term and I don't think it exists... but I'm no expert so I thought I would ask some people who might know the answer.

Thanks
