Lock off kits

Has anyone seen any cheap lock off kits around?

You could always buy a locking module (tool station for about £6) a small padlock and print some signs and laminate them.

Oh screwfix do a mcb locking padlock kit for £7.35. So could be done for less than a tenner.

I would go with the sponsors one, the cheap plastic ones can be crap. I bought 50 (a few for each lad) and you could pull them off the MCBs whilst locked on.

To be honest when you think what you are using it for do you really want a cheap one. I have heard so many horror stories of people using tie wraps or just tape to lock off and then "the accident" happens.
Spend some money and get one that will last how much is your life worth ???

i've got a kewtech MCB lock. i've yet to find a MCB that it will fit on. GRRR. for now, i'm dissing the cable/s from the MCB to isolate.

I can vouch for the Screwfix one ..... I have one and it does exactly what it's supposed to.

Ide echo the above and say dont get the cheap ****y ones.
The little plastic ones pull off with very little effort.
Half the problem is that there are so many different forms of breakers. You can buy "universal" ones but they are not the best I dont think.

The type we use (cant find a link sorry) are like a flat rotating cams with pins on which you insert into the 2 little holes either side of the switch and put a padlock through. They will fit any breaker that has the 2 pin holes either side of the switch but do not fit all MCB's.


And we use these for the bigger ones.
