Hi guys, Im looking for some help on a way of keeping a light switch on, the problem iv got is that we have 2 outside lights both fed from a Switched FCU however 2 issues we have with that is that our nephew has a annoying habbit of switching it of (near front door so out of our site) the second one is that the door latch is inline with it, so if door gets knocked right back the swich gets caught and sometimes knocked of, So my question, is there a way or form of switched FCU i can fit that i am able to lock on (of off if needed)? Any advise or help is welcome, Thanks.

change the switch for a key switch, same as is used for testing emergency lighting. convert switch to MK grid switch to do this

After looking on screwfix site on the MK grid plus section, and working out what i will need, would this be correct, to convert the existing switched FCU to the key switch, 1, 1 & 2-Module Metalclad Box - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys (1 and 2 module metal box) 2, 20A SP 2-Way Secret Key Switch Module - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys (20A 2 way switch module (key switch) 3, 1-Module Grid Frame - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys (1 module grid frame) and lastly 1G Module White Front Plate - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys (1 module white font plate) Also the key switch going of its name i guess it is switched on and off using a key? is the key supplied with the module? and does it have a built in fuse? or doenst need one? since my lights are on a FCU. Thanks again for any help.

tried both them, he took no notice and doorstop broke (the big spring type) so was going to get a lock on/ off switch as a perminant hassle free way, just lock it on and leave it.

i have thought about a unswitched FCU but since there outside lights (flood type) i need a switch for the occasions i need to put them on to manual and back to auto (mainly on auto). thats why i thought a key switch would work well, but my consern it that if the switch doesnt have a fuse, how will the lights be "protected"? and isolated.
