Hi All...
I am going for NICEIC Domestic Installer Registration...have Part P and 17th Edition etc etc.....
One of my inspection sites will be as follows.
Loft conversion. Plan to use already installed 6mm twe ex-shower supply running thru loft and terminated on a 40a MCb in a non-rcd 10 way hagar CU.( Shower now is a gravity fed power shower) Plan to terminate 6mm in the loft in a RCD enclosure containing a 6A mcb for lighting wired in 1.5 twe, 20A mcb for radial socket supply in 2.5 twe. To be tested to Part P Certification using megger 1553. Welome comments on this proposed design and the NICEIC Registration process

hi there
you will still have to have the 6.0mm t&e coming from original c/u rcd protected unless its more than 50mm below surface in walls.
you could put in a rcbo for this circuit feeding loft consumer and just use a non rcd 2 way c/u with main switch.
