Hi guys,

I can't see a problem with this but just after some reassurance.

In my loft I'm having a boiler installed so going to put some power and lighting up there for it including a solid flooring.

I've run the upstairs ring up there for a double socket. I want to provide a spur for the boiler but instead of extending the upstairs lighting to the loft, is it bad practice to include 2x fused spurs - 1 for the boiler and one switched spur for the lighting?

The two spurs will be wired in to the ring and not as spurs...

Thanks

Why would you want to put 2 FCU's in, when the upstairs lighting circuit is readily available to tap into?? It's not as if the existing upstairs lighting circuit is going to be stressed, before of after your extension to have lights in the loft area....

We are back into it now, we do most of our domestic rewires feeding switches. Just seems the light fittings from ikea are getting bigger and bigger and the room for the connections are getting smaller and smaller. And Ashley have now brought out a switch with a neutral connection which is handy. Everyone a winner. ( apart from the guy trying to feed his boiler off the lights lol )
